Milwaukee’s free Wednesday evening concert series returns in 2009 with eight shows! From July 8th to August 26th, Live @ the Lakefront will feature some of the area’s finest musical talent in the outdoor Rotary Amphitheater at Discovery World. With the stage overhanging Lake Michigan, sponsors and guests will enjoy acoustic sunset shows right on Milwaukee’s lakefront, all complimented by Bartolotta’s renowned food and beverage service.

Parking

Discounted parking is available for $5 right on site in the Discovery World garage. Additional parking is also available at the War Memorial or numerous nearby city lots.

Boat Docking

More than 450’ of dock space is available along Discovery World’s south side for Milwaukee’s boating community to use while attending the concerts. Overnight transient slips with shore power are also available for a fee at Discovery World and at the new Lakeshore State Park adjacent to the concert venue. Amphitheater Seating

350 free seats are available on a first come, first served basis in the new outdoor Rotary Amphitheater at Discovery World. This intimate venue overlooking Milwaukee Harbor and Lake Michigan will be appreciated by guests and musicians alike for the truly unique waterfront access it offers.

VIP Seating

There are two areas, the Compass Room and Sponsor’s Balcony, reserved for concert sponsors which are indicated by red velvet ropes. Guests without proper credentials are asked to respect the sponsors who make this free concert series possible and are not allowed in these areas at any time. VIP attendees will receive their credentials in advance or can present a photo ID at the VIP reception table.

Food & Beverage

The nationally acclaimed Bartolotta’s restaurant group is providing food and beverage services for LIVE @ the Lakefront. In addition to steak sandwiches, grilled brats and burgers, beer and wine will also be for sale, by the glass or bottle.

Restrooms

Indoor bathroom facilities are available at Discovery World for guests to use.

Handicap Access

The outdoor Rotary Amphitheater and indoor restrooms are all handicap-accessible.

Inclement Weather Policy

In the event that the concert cannot be safely held outdoors, if possible, the concert and the food and beverage service will be moved to the Promenade inside Discovery World.
